Kapaa & East Shore Shopping

Kauai’s Coconut Coast and East Shore offers some of the best shopping in Kauai.  With Macy’s, Sears, and a variety of national retailers like Sunglass Hut and Borders Books and Music, Kukui Grove Shopping Center outside Lihue is the island’s major mall.

The local Costco is also nearby.  So if you’re staying a while, it’s the least expensive place to pick up beer, wine, snacks, snorkel gear, beach towels, and memory for your camera.

For local arts, crafts, food, music, plants, and collectibles, don’t miss the Kauai Products Fair Thursday through Sunday.  It’s at 4-1621 Kuhio Highway.  It’s a great place to buy Hawaiian souvenirs and Hawaiian arts and crafts.

Anchor Cove and Harbor Mall are packed when the cruise ships are in port.  And the Coconut Marketplace is usually bustling.  All three have clothing stores, souvenirs, jewelry, gifts, and art, as well as lots of restaurants and bars.

For books, topographic maps, and local crafts, head to the Kauai Museum Gift Shop on Rice Street.  It offers some of the best shopping in Kauai.
