Kapaa & East Shore

Located between Lihue and Kapaa, the “Coconut Coast” has lots of Kauai vacation rentals, hotels, and restaurants.  Some of Kauai’s best beaches are here.  And if you stay on the East Shore, it’s still easy to get to Poipu Beach, Princeville and Hanalei, and even Waimea Canyon.

This is the most densely populated part of Kauai, so traffic can be a problem.  But if you’re looking for an affordable Kauai hotel, easy access to Lihue Airport, and lots of safe, swimming beaches, the East Shore can be a great base for your Kauai vacation.
