Princeville & North Shore

The area around Princeville and Hanalei gets lots of rain and high surf in the winter.  Many of the best beaches aren’t safe for swimming, and a lot of the hiking trails are wet and soggy.

But during the summer, Hanalei Bay, Lumahai Beach, Tunnels Beach, and the Queen’s Bath are a few of Kauai’s best beaches.  Ke’e Beach is the gateway to the fantastic Kalalau Trail, and some of the top Kauai resorts – including the St. Regis Princeville – are on the North Shore.
